Fundamentals and development of new phosphorus based benzoxazine vitrimers

Vitrimers are innovative materials that can be recycled and reshaped, but they're tough like traditional materials used in airplane parts. Polybenzoxazines (PBz) are another type of material that has really high thermal and mechanical properties. Scientists have been working on making vitrimers even better, but one problem they have run into is that they are not resisting enough to fire. That is where the DANMABENZ project comes in. It is about finding a way to make vitrimers resistant to fire, especially for parts inside planes and other transportation. By combining different chemicals, like benzoxazines and phosphate esters, we hope to create stronger, safer materials that can also be recycled.
