David Clousier is a PhD student in complex systems sciences for environmental assessments from the Industrial Ecology group of the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Coming from an engineering degree in chemistry from the National Graduate School of Chemistry of Montpellier, David is working on life cycle assessment of novel industrial processes, focusing on metallurgical production of Critical Raw Materials through the MECALO project. This European project is a consortium of industrial and research partners working to achieve silicon and manganese production with carbon looping to lower its climate change impact. In his first year of PhD, he developed skills in prospective and parameterized life cycle assessment, and is working on his first paper about the parameterization of the environmental assessment of silicon production.
PhD student with Thomas Gibon, working on LCA with MECALO data.
