About

I'm a trained physical geographer with a strong background in environmental chemistry. I accompanied the implementation of the Water Framework Directive in Luxembourg with many projects related to chemical pollution of water resources and its impact on ecological status. Main interests are efficient monitoring of dynamic pollutant flows with passive samplers and continuous probes as well as spatial planning of monitoring in relation to catchment properties. I've been involved in projects evaluating the risk of pesticide and transformation product pollution of groundwater resources and its mitigations through agricultural management as well as the the impact of emerging pollutants from wastewater treatment plants, combined sewer overflows and urban runoff on surface waters.
