I joined LIST in 2022 as a PhD Candidate in the field of Functional Polymeric Materials under guidance of Prof. Dr. Alexander S. Shaplov. Currently my main research focus is Design and Synthesis of Novel Ionic Monomers Towards Materials for Electrochemical Applications. More specifically, I am interested in: • Synthesis of novel Ionic Liquid Monomers (ILMs) and their controlled polymerization (RAFT) into Poly(Ionic Liquid)s (PILs). • Applying new polyelectrolytes in fabrication of all-solid-state next generation Li-ion batteries and flexible touch sensors. • Fundamental studies on piezoionic effect, ionic conductivity, thermal properties, electrochemical stability, and energy storage with respect to chemical structure of ionic liquids and PILs. I hope to make a meaningful impact on the world by developing innovative touch and pressure sensors, as well as re-establishing all-solid-state batteries, to help build a smarter, more sustainable future.
