Dr. Daniel H. Stolfi received the PhD in Computer Science in 2018 and the M.S. degree in software engineering and artificial intelligence in 2010, both from the University of Malaga, Spain. He was awarded with an FPU grant from the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports in 2013, which allowed him to be a PhD candidate at the LCC department of the aforementioned university. Before his current position as Senior R&T Scientist in the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), Daniel Stolfi was Research Associate in the Parallel Computing and Optimisation Group (PCOG) at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. He has worked as Software Engineer for the industry, participated in research projects related to smart mobility, swarm intelligence and data fusion. His current research interests include optimisation using bio-inspired algorithms, swarm intelligence, robotics, and computer simulations.
