I graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. I have over 8 years of experience working with different materials such as sheet metal, aluminum, plastics, composites, and superalloys in various sectors including aerospace, home appliances, and automotive.
I am responsible for 2 different projects, Shapoco and RECLAIM. Shapoco Project - Create a lightweight design with filament winding technology for airplane door hinge, which is aluminum in original. The goal is to improve the overall performance, durability, weight reduction, and cost-effectiveness while considering manufacturing constraints and sustainability factors. Centers around the validation of performance enhancements achieved through optimized designs. This includes defining a comprehensive set of performance metrics, collaborating with Rafinex to adapt shape and topology optimization methods to aerospace and defense requirements, utilizing specialized manufacturing technologies like GRAM Filament Winding, conducting exhaustive testing, and conducting thorough comparative analyses between the optimized designs and conventional approaches. RECLAIM Project --> The project will focus on high-quality / high-performance pultruded carbon fiber reinforced polyurethane profiles, produced by DowAksa, a leading international company, active in carbon fibers and related semi-finished products. The materials are originally developed for the wind energy market, and the production leftovers of which are currently not valorised while they offer, through their intrinsic properties, a huge potential for applications in load-bearing structures towards vehicle platform lightweight.
