This paper presents the vision, technical approach, and experimentation plan of the 5G-CriCo project, which aims to design, implement, and validate Mission-Critical Communications (MCx) services over 5G Standalone (5G SA) public networks in Luxembourg. The project leverages 3GPP-compliant features such as network slicing, Ultra-Reliable Low-Latency Communication (URLLC), and QoS management to meet the stringent requirements of public safety and industrial operations. The work presented include open challenges and an approach to address them, to be shared and discussed with the community.
