Dimitra Anastasiou is a Lead Research and Technology Associate at the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). She is currently coordinating the Erasmus+ project Chat4EFL: https://www.chat4efl.eu/. Chat4EFL aims to improve the quality and effectiveness of English as Foreign Language instruction in secondary schools by using AI technologies to create personalized learning experiences that address diverse student needs (giftedness, bilingualism, special needs). It builds teachers’ digital skills, confidence, and capacity in using AI-based resources that support students’ foreign language learning. She is also involved in the FNR-ANR project AI4C2PS (www.ai4c2ps.eu/), where she examines how a social robot can act as a feedback interface for a Human Digital Twin. Previously she coordinated the CEF project 2020-EU-IA-0088 with the title ENRICH4ALL, which is about developing an e-government chatbot. The goal was to integrate the eTranslation Machine Translation tool of the European Commission, so that the chatbot users can interact with the chatbot in any of the 27 languages. From 2015-2017 she had been awarded with the Marie Curie Individual Fellowship project GETUI (Gestures in Tangible User Interfaces): http://cordis.europa.eu/project/rcn/194970_en.html.
