I am a PhD researcher in ecology with a strong interest in amphibian conservation, habitat ecology, and biodiversity monitoring. My work combines field ecology, environmental monitoring, and data analysis to better understand how amphibians interact with heterogeneous wetland environments. My PhD is funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR).
As part of my PhD research, I investigate habitat selection in newts across spatial and temporal scales, with a focus on the great crested newt, the marbled newt, and their hybrids in the Pinail National Nature Reserve. My work combines field surveys, environmental data collection, ecological monitoring, and statistical analysis to better understand species distribution, phenology, and microhabitat use in pond networks. Through this research, I aim to produce knowledge that is relevant to both ecological science and conservation management.
