About

I am a plant biotechnologist driven by a central vision: harnessing plant-based technologies to develop sustainable and resilient biological production systems for future societies. I obtained my BSc in Horticulture and MSc in Plant Molecular Biology in China, and completed my PhD in Plant Biotechnology at Wageningen University & Research in the Netherlands. My research focuses on exploring diverse plant species and plant cell cultures as versatile platforms for the production of valuable biomolecules and functional materials. Through my interdisciplinary research experience, I integrate plant molecular biology, genetic engineering, multi-omics analysis, and bioprocess engineering to advance innovative and sustainable biotechnological solutions.
